A perfect day for strategic leads, coaches and volunteers from any sport and physical activity organisations and clubs keen to enhance their knowledge of working with disabled people. Course attendees will also have the opportunity to practically adapt sport and physical activity sessions to meet disabled people’s needs.
There will be a choice of 2 out of 3 different workshops during the Disability Inclusion Training Day at London South Bank University on Friday 14th July 2017. Three different courses will be delivered during the day (3 hours per workshop):
1 – Deaf Awareness in sport – delivered by UK Deaf Sport – (morning and afternoon)
2 – Mental Health Awareness for sport – delivered by MIND – (morning and afternoon)
3 – How to adapt Sport and Physical Activity for Disabled People – a practical workshop delivered by Disability Sports Coach – (afternoon only)

We have a maximum of 20 places per workshop, so 2 workshops will be delivered in the morning and repeated in the afternoon, and one will be delivered in the afternoon. Each delegate can choose 2 out of the 3 workshops to attend.
Fee: £100 for one full day of training (two workshops), sandwich lunch and refreshments.
